Elementary Summer School Assessment (ESSA)

ESSA Highlights

The first version of ESSA went into production 24-JUN-2014.

For the 2021-2022 summer school session, the application will serve a total of 37 Continuing Education elementary summer schools including one online (remote) summer school.

• Grades 1-8 students will be assessed only in Literacy and/or Numeracy. Teachers can include comments that refer to other subject areas within the comment boxes of the Progress Reports.
• Progress Reports for JK/SK students will evaluate them under the "four frames"

  • Self-Regulation and Well-Being
  • Demonstrating Literacy and Mathematics Behaviours
  • Problem Solving and Innovating
• A link to a survey has been included at the bottom of page 1 of the Progress Reports to encourage feedback on the summer programs.
